Many drivers in the Montoursville area rave about the superior performance, styling and power of the Dodge Avenger against its competition. Well now, there is even more to like. Dodge recently announced it has added a new top trim to the model, introducing the 2012 Dodge Avenger SE, equipped with a V6 engine.
The new Avenger gets a boost under the hood with a Pentastar V6, tuned to 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Dodge sports car also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust, and a rear spoiler to round out the upgrades. Not only does the Avenger V6 deliver the goods with its new performance features, it also comes through on fuel economy, boasting a best-in-class V6 EPA highway fuel economy rating of 29 miles per gallon. That's a drop of just one mile per gallon compared to the Avenger four-cylinder engine. Not a bad trade-off.
Rounding out the outstanding driving performance and fuel economy of the Avenger is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 'Top Safety Pick' Award; so it's no surprise that sales of the midsize sedan have increased 112 percent in the 2012 calendar year through February.
